What a wonderful experience! This was the first of the many visits I am sure I will be making to Sondara Estate. The property is breathtaking and the animals just too cute for words. I’m talking about juvenile Highland cattle, all hairy, big eyed and just glorious! Then there are the miniature goats! You just want to wrap them up in your arms and cuddle them. As you walk into the winery you think you may have made a mistake and come to a tearoom instead because your eyes see the prettiest table settings with beautiful crockery and shining silverware…but then the wine tasting starts and you are in heaven! The wine is accompanied by tasty morsels that enhance the flavours of the wine and the knowledgeable sommelier adds to the overall pleasure of the experence. If you can only visit one winery in the Highlands, do yourself a favour and visit Sondara. All your senses will thank you for it!

Return customers and will be returning again. Delightful environment and service and wines that suit every member of our family!

Wines were amazing, paired with the charcuterie to compliment the wines was a great addition. Knowledge about the wines and atmosphere were amazing. The decor was inviting and the staff were super friendly.
I would definitely recommend this, and intend to go back

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sondara. The family run vineyard was warm and welcoming. We loved the attention to detail. The wines were lovely and the signature platter was a bonus. It featured local producers and was fabulous. Loved it.

Great venue, wine and food. We loved our afternoon tasting and the platter for two was generous and delicious. Thank you Sondara.

location was very difficult to find but the tasting was good
Need to have a larger range

With my BFF we had an amazing time talking, sipping, and sampling all the wonderful wimes and extras at Sondara. We even chatted to the inspirational innovative founder/owner about life and how it is important to take time and enjoy :) Such a lovely time we had on a Sundary afternoon.

We absolutely loved our experience at Sondara—one of the best wine tastings I’ve ever had. It had all the finer touches of a luxury experience while still retaining the warmth and personal charm of a family-run business. Sandra was incredibly welcoming and an exceptional host, with a genuine passion for winemaking that made the experience even more special. The thoughtfully paired cheese and charcuterie were also an excellent touch. Highly recommend—we’ll definitely be back and will continue purchasing their wines regularly.

We loved Sondara. It was the last stop on our wine tour in August. The staff were super friendly and inviting. We loved the wine and the little pairing of snacks that came with it. Our only complaint was that it was very cold while we did our tasting. We were given blankets though.
The hanks sondara for a lovely experience 😊

Sondara winery’s Gather & Graze platter is a cut above!

An excellent, intimate, informative and delicious wine tasting experience. Highly recommended host, food and Sauvignon Blanc!

We love coming here and bringing new wine lovers with us, as it is such an immersive and educational experience with lots of fun as well. The wines are exquisite and with the pairings, just an amazing taste sensation. Every time we visit there is something new to enjoy. We cannot wait for our next visit. Sandra is an amazing and passionate advocate for her vineyard and local area.

I have been to a few wineries across Australia, this was one of the best experiences so far. Not too many options but it was great nonetheless.

Very nice atmosphere. Great staff and enjoyed the wines. Really liked that you give us a little bite of food to go with the wines. I am not a Sav Blanc drinker but really liked yours. We also ordered the food platter and another bottle of wine for after, and that was also very good and a great way to spend a couple of hours.

Our first visit was a friends birthday celebration!
Everything was exceptional the whole experience.
From the wine to the next level charcuterie boards!
Thank you Team Sondara!
Looking forward to coming back soon!
